Admission Forms for Honours courses will be available after the publication of the results of the Council / Board Examination both Online and from the College counter.
Candidates willing to apply Online, may download the Admission Form(s) along with the Andhra Bank Challan(Muralidhar Girls’ College branch), from 3rd June to 11th June,2013 from the College website, www.muralidhargirlscollege.com, fill up and submit the Admission Form(s) Online according to the specifications of subjects. The candidates can apply for more than one Honours subjects. Application fee for one Honours subject is Rs.200/- and Rs.50/- each for subsequent Honours subjects (maximum allowed - main form+2 extra forms), which must be deposited at Andhra Bank, Muralidhar Girls’ College branch (in cash) along with the printout of the Bank Challan. Candidates must submit a printout of the Admission Form(s), submitted Online along with the following documents and the College-copy of the Bank Challan for all Honours at the college counter on 10th,11th & 12th June,2013 (11a.m. to 3p.m.).
According to the specifications adopted by each department, Admission Forms for Honours candidates will be issued from the College counter on 5th,6th & 7th June,2013 from 11a.m. to 2p.m. Students will have to submit the Forms on 10th, 11th & 12th June, 2013 between 11a.m. and 3p.m., stating clearly the Honours Subjects & Subsidiary subjects according to the specification of combinations given below. The candidates can apply for more than one Honours subjects. Separate Form will be accepted for separate subject. Application fee for one Honours subject is Rs.200/- (together with prospectus). Candidates who are willing to submit Admission Forms for more than one Honours subjects will have to pay Rs.50/- as cost of Form for each, for subsequent Honours subjects (maximum allowed - main form+2 extra forms). Those who collect Forms from the College counter must pay the requisite fees in cash at the college counter and submit the Forms with the following documents on 10th, 11th & 12th June 2013 between 11a.m. and 3p.m.
Lists (1st, 2nd & 3rd) will be put up on the Notice Board on 24th June,2013 after 2p.m. Admission dates will be specified on that same notice. Admission will commence on and from 28th June, 2013.
For Honours students aggregate shall be calculated by adding the marks in Top-Four subjects in order of marks secured by a candidate in W.B. Board or Other Board provided she has also passed in English having full marks not being less than 100. Marks in compulsory Environmental Education/Studies shall not be taken into account for calculation of aggregate marks.
Candidates from Open School (Rabindra Mukta & National Open School) will have to take admission in General Course only.
Candidates from Boards other than WBCHSE, CBSE & ISC may contact the College office for admission after 2nd July, 2013.
The College will not issue any token to candidates waiting in the queue and will not acknowledge any token issued by any other party. The counter will be closed at 2p.m. each day irrespective of the number of persons remaining in the queue.

Students who have passed examination equivalent to H.S. Examination of West Bengal Council will be admitted, subject to the condition that they must have passed in four(4) subjects (i.e. they have obtained 40% in each subject ), provided she has also passed in English having full marks of not being less than 100.
Students should choose two elective subjects from the following combinations (separated by semi-colon mark). Each subject comprises 3 papers, 100 marks each. Students opting for Honours course in the subjects – English, Sanskrit, Political Science, History, Education, Journalism & Mass Communication, Sociology should not choose simultaneously two science subjects as elective subjects.
A candidate shall not be allowed to take up any subject as Elective if she has failed in the subject in the previous qualifying examination. College authority will not be responsible , in any way, for wrong combinations chosen by the students.
Only one Science subject is allowed with Honours in Arts.
Only candidates of 2013, may apply for admission. Candidates of 2012 may contact the College office for admission if they do not take
admission anywhere in 2012.

Admission Forms for General course will be available after the publication of the results of the Council / Board Examination from the college counter. There will be no marks restriction on aggregate marks for admission to the General Course. A candidate who has passed the H.S. (10+2) or in an equivalent examination is eligible to seek admission to the 1st year of the 3-year B.A./B.Sc. General Degree Course of Study in , provided she has also passed in English

Candidates of General courses are not allowed to fill up on-line Admission Form. They Have to collect and fill-up Admission Forms from the College counter.

Admission on First-Come-First-Served basis for first 200 candidates will be on 28th June,2013; next 200 candidates will be on 1st July, 2013; rest from 2nd July 2013 onwards, depending on availability of seats.

Admission Forms for Major course in Tourism & Travel Management (TTMV) will be available after the publication of the results of the Council / Board Examination from the College counter.
Criteria for Admission to B.A. (Major) – TTMV :
A candidate who secures a minimum of 45% (40% for candidates belonging to SC/ST community) marks in the aggregate at the H.S. (10+2) or in an equivalent examination, shall be eligible for admission to the B.A.(Major) Degree Course of study in Tourism & Travel Management, provided she has passed in English having full marks not being less than 100.
For the purpose of determining eligibility to TTMV Course, aggregate shall be calculated by adding the marks in top-four subjects in order of marks secured by a candidate.
Marks in compulsory Environmental Education/Studies shall not be taken into account for calculation of aggregate marks.
Candidates taking up TTMV in B.A. (Major) Degree Course shall study History and Sociology as Compulsory Elective Subjects.
More than 80% of final year students of TTMV were got Tourism related jobs in different Government & Non-Government sectors. A Placement Cell is there in the College to conduct Campus Interview.

Failure to return library books by the due date will make a student liable to pay a fine of Re.1/- per day.
Loss of library books by a student will make her liable either to restore a new copy or pay the actual price of the book.
Submission of Field Report and Herbarium sheets to the University is compulsory for all students of Tourism & Travel Management(TTMV), Geography(Honours / General) & Botany(Honours/General), for which Annual Tours will be arranged .The Educational Excursion Fee for this has to be paid when the Tour is organized.
